Surprise Revealed!

A couple of weeks ago I shared with you a "sneak peak" on a surprise gift for someone special. Well here it is - a candlestick pincushion made by my dear friend Pat over at Bird Nest on the Ground She does phenomenal work and as always she out did her self on this one. The detail she has put into this is just incredible. The tiny little crocheted purse, the beautiful beading, pretty trims and lovely embroidery work is just stunning!

And the someone special, the lucky recipient, the proud new owner....

my youngest daughter Billie. The occasion? Well maybe for successfully completing her third year of college, or making the Deans List last semester, or being a kind loving person to others, or just making her mom so darned proud! Yep that's it - "just because".

Enjoy your day,
Sharon

  1. Hi Sharon! I've missed you!
~WHEW! Nothing like wiping out our computer for a few days to make me feel so out of sorts. It's amazing how much I depend on it. I think a little too much. LOL!

What a beautiful lamp cover you made for Billie! I know she loves it and you are so proud of her.
    She's so pretty!

Thanks for all the support and the kind words on our bathrooms. I always appreciate your visits.

    Have a wonderful Sunday.

  2. Sharon,
I am tickled pink to hear of Billie’s accomplishments so be sure and give her an extra hug for me! Your talented friend Pat has made another beauty. I have spent time viewing Pat’s site and admiring her skill with a needle.

  5. Wow. That is one cute pin cushion! And congrats to your hard working daughter on finishing her 3rd year. Now will she get it done in 4 or have to go longer? Here in CA the classes are full before you sneeze and you just can't do it in 4, just because you can't get all your classes. (Well, unless you go to a pricey private college, which was not an option for either of my boys.)
    SO GOOD GIRL!
    Have a great day!
